Summer Coming to an End
Here we go again. Another move. It’s just how this summer has been. My husband was working in both Dallas and El Paso this summer. I followed him along the way. We did six weeks in Dallas followed by six weeks in El Paso. This Texas tour has come to an end.
I’m grateful for the time we got to share together while traveling to all these places. Also, it was a great opportunity to visit with old friends, as I used to live in Dallas for college. It’s amazing how quickly that time has passed by.
Things are wrapping up for our time here in Texas. The summer is coming to an end. It’s bitter-sweet as we have been around so many familiar faces while we were out here. We even got to go to California and visit my family since we haven’t been this far west in quite some time. But on the other hand I am anxious to get back to Virginia.
It was fun for a couple weeks living out of a bag and Airbnb’s. But it got tiresome.
Now it’s time to stay in one place for a minute. The process of getting situated in a new place doesn’t really make me want to jump for joy, but once the chaos of moving across the country and getting things out of storage has subsided, I can enjoy getting settled back in Virginia.
UPDATE: We made it safely to Virginia. It took over 30 hours to get here. We left on a Friday afternoon and made it before lunch on Sunday. Whew - I am still feeling tired from the whole trip. We are gradually getting settled in our new place. It’s a process, but so good to be back.
